It’s an old saying, “Dil ka Rasta peit se guzar ta hai”.
How true is that? Try it yourself. One can bond over a meal, One can bond with the meal. We are the only race which loves to experiment. Experiments with our hair, body and even the food we eat. Our ancestors didn’t stop at just hunting and gathering, we also started farming and exploring new flavours.
And humans started settling down at one place. But maybe that life became a little dull and so they started experimenting and innovating. Coming up new ideas, New variants, New combinations.
This gave birth to a number of things. These innovations gave birth to different practices and norms. And gave birth to culture. We all have different backgrounds but there’s one thing common among all of us. We all eat!
That tingly butterfly flying feeling is what we all share. One question always pops in my mind – do we eat to live or live to eat? Either of them is possible. Because filling your stomach shouldn’t be the only motive of food. Adding some sugar and spice to your life and giving it a twist is what matters.
So here I am, sharing my thoughts of food and the intricate relationships that connect all of us.
